3. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Calabrese Lab within the UCSF Lung Transplant Research group has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow interested in immunology and airway biology. The mismatch of host and recipient genetics following lung transplant creates a unique opportunity to address compelling questions with immediate, translatable, clinical impact. Our group studies innate immune cell pathobiology, epithelial cell biology and other biologic mechanisms of lung injury. We also have projects related to Cystic Fibrosis disease pathogenesis. This position will offer opportunities to master cutting-edge immunology, genomics, single cell RNA sequencing and metagenomic methods and develop an independent research focus.

5. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We will address mechanisms of resistance to both chemotherapies and immunotherapy, and compare data generated from the mouse with tumor material from patients undergoing such therapies for their cancer, specifically unresectable or metastatic cSCCs of the head and neck region. The approaches we are taking include in vivo drug dosing of primary carcinomas that are induced in situ by chemical carcinogenesis, We will examine anti-tumor drug efficacy and molecular responses to therapy by undertaking transcriptomic analysis, flow cytomtery/CYToF analysis for immune cell composition, and multicomponent spatial analysis (Xenium and multi-IFC).

6. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The incumbent’s principal duties will be part of a team of program analysts and statisticians that is co-located with the Commission in Sacramento. The project aims to increase the Commission’s capacity to drive transformational change in California’s community mental health system by evaluating the impact of the MHSA, using evaluation results to support quality improvement, and ensuring the collection, tracking, and analysis of mental health data and information. Among others, this is achieved through data linkages of the Mental Health Client Service database with state databases such as CDPH Vital Records, State of California Department of Justice (DOJ), Employment Development Department (EDD), California Department of Education (CDE), California Department of Healthcare Access and information (HCAI), and the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
