Are you holding PhD degree and looking for Postdoctoral Fellowships? Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Florida invites multiple online application for Postdoctoral Fellowships in various research areas. Candidates interested in Postdoctoral Fellowships can check the details and may apply as soon as possible.
1. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Forsyth lab is interested in understanding the biology of leptomeningeal disease (LMD), a field in which we are international leaders. In LMD, tumor cells enter the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and seed the pial surfaces of the brain and spine, resulting in death within 2–4 months. Very little is currently understood about the biology of this disease—there are only about eight papers relevant to its underlying mechanisms.

2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Amelio Lab applies an interdisciplinary approach that integrates use of bioinformatics, drug and CRISPR screens, novel mouse models, and biologic light-based tools to study tumorigenesis in vitro and in vivo. This position will focus on tumor heterogeneity and drug tolerance and is related to two recent publications by the lab in Cell Reports (Musicant et al) and Oral Oncology (Parag-Sharma et al). Our laboratory is currently funded by grants awarded from the National Institutes of Health.

3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Research in the Ward Lab is centered on characterizing how systemic metabolism and nutritional status are transmitted to tumor cells via the microenvironment and how mitochondria integrate these metabolic signals during tumor progression and in response to therapy. Current projects in the lab are focused on how diet and exercise influence the tumor redox state, how substrate availability influences iron-sulfur cluster biosynthesis (Nature Communications, PMID: 38762605), a process critical to maintaining nearly all aspects of cellular function, and how the mitochondrial transhydrogenase (NNT) exerts its’ pleiotropic regulation of redox metabolism (JEM, PMID: 32196080).

4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
A fully funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Florian A. Karreth, PhD in the Department of Molecular Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. The Karreth lab studies the molecular and genetic mechanisms promoting melanoma progression, metastasis, and drug resistance. We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work on glyco-RNA at the intersection of glycobiology and RNA biology in the context of melanoma. This project is funded by the Department of Defense and will involve the characterization of glyco-RNA formation and function and their role in mediating melanoma progression and metastasis by affecting interactions with the tumor microenvironment and immune system.
