3. Fully Funded PhD Position in Microfluidics and Biosensor Group
Summary of PhD Program:
This position is financially supported from our European Research Council (ERC) project aiming to discover the fundamental principles and implications of nonlinear dynamics in bifurcating networks. Specifically, we are interested in red blood cell flow dynamics in blood vessel network using microdroplet networks as model systems. We study the distribution of microdroplets using analytical, numerical and experimental microfluidic approaches to mimic biological capillary networks. Our research group performs interdisciplinary research at the intersection of engineering, physics, material science and biochemistry.

4. Fully Funded PhD Position in Geography
Summary of PhD Program:
The task is to conduct a survey for three different groups of actors: entrepreneurs, local residents and tourists in cooperation with the project researchers in the Torniojoki Valley area. The surveys will be conducted based on ready-made questions using a suitable survey tool and will examine the role and development of cultural and creative tourism in the Torniojoki Valley. The task includes a basic analysis of the survey data. In addition, it is possible to collect interview data if necessary.
