1. Fully Funded PhD Position in Community experiences of co-creating applied theatre decision labs for conflict resolution in place-based climate change adaptation
Summary of PhD Program:
The PhD student will research inter-generational community experiences of being part of an engaged co-creation process that involves design thinking and applied theatre to explore place-based, climate actions within the three-year Climate Collaboratorium project (see summary below). The full title of the overarching international project is Climate Collaboratorium: Co-creation of Applied Theatre Decision Labs for Exploring Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. This project is funded by the New Frontiers in Research Fund 2023 (International Joint Initiative for Research in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation). The PhD is based at the University of the West of England, Bristol (Frenchay Campus) and will focus on researching the community-based processes played out in the UK.

Summary of PhD Program:
The Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL) is the most comprehensive academic centre for multi-disciplinary robotics research in the UK. A collaborative partnership between UWE and the University of Bristol, it hosts over 450 academics, researchers, and industry practitioners. The Centre for Machine Vision (CMV) within the BRL specialises in machine vision and deep learning techniques from fundamental research to wide-ranging applications, with a strong focus on 3D imaging. Its research quality has been judged as having international standing, with 75% considered world-leading/internationally excellent in the 2014 General Engineering REF.
