Summary of PhD Program:

The aim in this PhD project is to conceptualize and make a framework for chemistry-aware digital twins(DT) covering from atomic level up to power system level in P2X system. For that system level surrogate models need to be built, including future time evolution and degradation models based on multi-physics simulations, which can portray meso- to macro-scale physics like transport, electrochemical governing equations, and degradation from catalyst deactivation. This project includes the exploration of excitability and connectivity changes in people with chronic pain using transcranial magnetic stimulation coupled with concomitant EEG recording. In contrast to much existing work, specific focus will be directed towards algorithms which – rather than simply suppressing the background noise – modifies the target speech signal in order to make it easier intelligible.
