Are you holding Master’s degree and looking for fully funded PhD positions? University of Leeds, England invites online application for multiple funded PhD Programs / fully funded PhD positions in various research areas.

Candidates interested in fully funded PhD positions can check the details and may apply as soon as possible. Interested and eligible applicants may submit their online application for PhD programs via the University’s Online Application Portal.

Tropical forests fulfil important roles both for climate and biodiversity. They are exposed to a range of pressures including an increasingly hotter and erratic climate as well as changing atmospheric composition (particularly CO2 and N2O levels raising) (Lapola et al., 2023). In the Amazon there is clear evidence not only of temperatures increasing but also of shifts in the hydrological cycle, with dry season length and seasonal amplitude of precipitation increasing. How these forests will be affected on a long-term is unclear.

Apply now

This project will help develop our fundamental understanding of how deep-water sedimentary processes respond to confinement. The project will also help develop an applied understanding of the fill and rock properties of hybrid beds in confined basins, which are hosts of conventional resources, sinks of organic carbon, and potential hosts of man-made pollutants. This project will benefit from field studies in the famous Peïra Cava Basin, SE France; decades of prior studies by the wider research team provide a rigorous stratigraphic framework for the study.

Apply now

Follow FellowshipBard for daily updates!

Facebook

Twitter

Linkedin

Telegram Channel

This project will focus on devising new remote sensing methods for monitoring the degradation of grasslands, which account for 94% of all degraded drylands. It will study grasslands in China, which cover 42% of national land area, and take advantage of data collected by both Chinese and European Space Agency (ESA) satellites. The project is supported by the DRAGON 5 Programme of ESA and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. The student will spend up to 6 months in Beijing working with our Chinese partner.

Apply now

This fully funded PhD provides an exciting opportunity to pursue postgraduate research in a range of fields relating to Cell Biology, Nanotechnology, Food Science, Immunology, and Biophysics, with potential applications in healthy ageing and prevention of metabolic syndrome. The importance of food microstructure for health is increasingly recognised. However, its structure-function relation and biological mechanism remain largely undefined. This PhD aims to employ multidisciplinary approaches to shed lights on the cellular signalling pathways in the mucosal cells of gastrointestinal tract in response to selected bioactive compounds available in the nanostructure of food matrix, and demonstrate their impact on nutrient absorption and tissue regeneration.

Apply now

Applicants are sought for a funded PhD in the area of terahertz photonics. The project is an exciting opportunity to join a large and world-renowned research group active and leading in many areas of terahertz science and technology. One area of our current research is in the fast modulation of sources for terahertz radiation, and we are currently investigating acoustic waves for this application.

Apply now

In this project, we aim to develop advanced computer vision and image understanding techniques to extract meaningful semantic information from medical images. We will utilize domain-specific fine-tuned language models for visual question-answering, showcasing the potential of vision-language models in clinical settings. Additionally, we will investigate open research challenges in this field, such as enhancing medical image understanding, leveraging language for weak supervision, pre-training foundational models, training vision-language models on medical datasets, and aligning image-text representations.

Apply now

The overall research hypothesis addressed by this project is that machine learning can provide quantitative insights into the likelihood of successful message transmissions over a wireless communication channel by analysing and learning from messages previously sent over the same and adjacent communication channels. Such quantitative insights could then be used to reduce uncertainty and therefore assist schedulers to achieve timely and reliable delivery of messages in real-time distributed systems and to provide valuable metrics when evaluating and optimizing wireless communication systems in general.

Apply now

The work will be undertaken in the context of the Dunhill Medical Trust Reimagine Ageing Doctoral Research Programme embedded in the Interdisciplinary Reimagine Ageing Research Network. The Network focuses on improving the quality of life, functional capacity and well-being of people as they age. It is embedded in and is being co-created with community partners with the intent for meaningful interdisciplinary engagement from colleagues across the University of Leeds and with the communities whose lives they seek to improve.

Apply now

Applications are invited for Interdisciplinary Doctoral research focused on developing new understanding of how and why older adults in deprived areas in Leeds are(n’t) using green spaces across the climate seasons, how their experiences impact their health and ultimately propose ways to re/design green spaces to overcome barriers to use and promote health and wellbeing.

Apply now

The work will be undertaken in the context of the Dunhill Medical Trust Reimagine Ageing Doctoral Research Programme embedded in the Interdisciplinary Reimagine Ageing Research Network. Performance is a broad term which encompasses artistic products, social behaviours and identity categories. Performance, also, signifies achievement according to a pre-established standard and in this way it can also refer to professional attainment as well as technological or physiological function.

Apply now

1.
