Dr. Keith Vossel, a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research at UCLA, is seeking highly motivated applicants interested in a Postdoctoral Scholar position to investigate disease mechanisms in mouse models of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, as well as human studies. Dr. Frautschy’s laboratory studies Alzheimer’s and Mixed Dementia, Parkinson’s disease as well as traumatic brain injury in preclinical models. Our research focuses on mechanisms of disease as well as interventions with primary focus on inflammatory mechanisms contributing to neurodegeneration and behavioral and cognitive loss. We conduct studies in animal models that allow us to understand the time course of progression of these diseases, so that we can appropriately address therapeutic interventions.
