University of Waterloo Scholarships Eligibility Criteria
1. International students with a valid Canadian study permit who are enrolled full-time in Canada are charged international tuition rates.
2. Candidates with strong academic credentials (often a minimum 70% average at the undergraduate level and a minimum 75% average at the graduate level) are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
3. Students must demonstrate academic excellence using the Faculty’s criteria.
4. Students must meet their program’s academic progress standards and have no outstanding probationary admission requirements.
5. This grant may be in addition to other internal or external scholarships (for example, the UW Graduate Scholarship, the OGS, and so on). Scholarships are not the same as sponsorship; see the following item.
6. Students should not normally be receiving foreign government or agency sponsorship (e.g., China Scholarship Council, Libyan funding, etc.) at the same time, nor should they be fully or partially self-funded in excess of the Faculty minimal levels of assistance.
7. Full-time undergraduate and graduate students from any faculty who want to participate in an international experience in Israel, such as a minimally paid or volunteer international co-op work placement, a volunteer placement, an academic exchange, or a study term related to academic requirements, must apply.
8. Students who have been grandfathered under the present IMSA program are not eligible to be considered for an IMAE; however, a student who has already been given an IMSA for a previously completed master’s degree may be nominated for an IMAE.
9. Based on their admissions application, students will be automatically eligible for this award. Departments and/or faculties shall establish their own internal process for selecting winners based on qualifying criteria and allocation.
University of Waterloo Scholarships Coverage
1. The David Johnston-Lebovic Foundation International program Awards will range from $2,500 to $5,000 for a one-term study program, and from $5,000 to $10,000 for a two-term employment or volunteer adventure.
2. The International Master’s Award of Excellence is worth $2,500 every term for a total of six periods.

1. Candidates must enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a university. Candidates can view the application on their forms pages after they have been admitted.
2. Applicants must include a personal statement that refers to the application form. To achieve the minimal admission standards, all applicants must present evidence of their English language skills.
