Eligibility

To be eligible for an International Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

2. Hold an academic degree (earned in the U.S. or abroad) equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.

3. Commit to full-time engagement in their proposed academic program during the fellowship year.

4. Have an intention to return to their home country to pursue a professional career upon completing their studies.
Demonstrate proficiency in English, validated by submitting a valid TOEFL or IELTS score.

5. Master’s/first professional degree and doctoral applicants must have applied to an accredited U.S. institution for the fellowship year by November 15 and must specify the institution’s name in their International Fellowship application.

6. Although acceptance is not required at the time of application, awardees must provide official confirmation from the institution along with their acceptance materials.

7. Postdoctoral applicants must provide proof of their doctorate degree, hold a research-oriented doctorate (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., D.M.) or an M.F.A., and indicate where they will conduct their research.

8. Master’s/first professional degree and doctoral applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited institution located in the United States during the fellowship year.
